How much does a cake cost?

Tiered cake prices start at £160 for a basic 2 tier cake that feeds 30 guests. Or how about £300 for a basic 3 tier cake with ribbon that feeds 70 guests. Individual Mini Cakes start at £5.00 per cake. See our 'Gallery' for prices of some of our designs.

Allergies and special dietary requirements

Whatever it may be there's certain food that people are allergic to or simply don't like. We always try our best to make sure that we don't include many of these allergens in our kitchen, unfortunately there's always a chance that they may come into contact with our cakes. If you have any specific requests please give us a call prior to ordering to discuss.

Lead times

It takes time to pull everything together and get it just right. A full flavoured fruit cake takes 3 months to mature so the more notice you give the better it will taste.

Collection or delivery?

You're more than welcome to collect your cake or to save you the hassle we can arrange delivery. Just let us know when you order.

Collection: If you'd like to come and collect then we can supply full storage and assembly instructions. If the cake is collected then we can't be responsible for any damage that may occur after it has left our studio.

Delivery: The cost does vary depending on how far you are from our St. Albans base, but includes liaising with the banqueting team at your venue, assembly of the cake and dressing with fresh flowers if required. Delivery is only available within the UK.

Payment

We accept payment by bank transfer or cash only. Once you're ready to confirm your order we'll ask for a non-refundable deposit of 50%. The remainder is due 3 weeks before the delivery or collection of the cake.

Design alterations

It's a big job choosing a cake design and we understand if you want to make changes after ordering. We'll do our best to accommodate these, but if it's major changes then there's a chance that there'll be an additional charge. We'll let you know when you speak to us.

Cancellation policy

The initial deposit is non-refundable, it covers the costs of buying the ingredients. If you cancel your order in the 21 days before completion there will be an additional charge to cover materials and work already undertaken.
